National television still treats Uttar Pradesh as a map of seats. We started on the street instead. Meerut Central Market is not a studio. It is rent, inventory, and a memory of every government that promised a road and delivered a ribbon.
The first episode of Kya Bolti Meerut Ki Public puts a microphone on that memory. NOTA comes up without being prompted. So does a weariness with being told that a mandate is a blank cheque. The BJP is not an abstraction here; it is the party that has held the state, and the public talks to it as a neighbour who has overstayed the welcome or earned another year — depending on who is holding the weighing scale.
This series will not replace a survey. It will do something surveys cannot: let a city hear itself before the 2027 campaign turns every sentence into a slogan.
